Abstract

Social justice is a current issue, especially in Latin American countries where injustices are part of everyday life. For Christianity, the biblical text speaks to all spheres of life and for Social Justice it has a lot to say. This article studies the concept of Social Justice from the prophets of the 8th century BC, considering the basic Hebrew words, as well as an exploration of selected texts of those prophets. The conclusion encourages Christianity to be more and more committed to this theme.
