This article explores John 6 from a socio-rhetorical perspective. It emphasizes on persuasive strategies within the text used to convince the audience of a high Christology, and the deep symbolic meanings of words, as well as, the values of a social and cultural world in conflict with the synagogue and Jewish-Christian churches.
