Another politics, a new communism. Intellectual and political dialogues on the 21st century and beyond

Abstract

This unprecedented dialogue aims to contribute to the field of the history of ideas in the 21st century. The work of contemporary intellectuals has a debt, a duty and a responsibility to interpret, refute, contrast and criticize current conditions and contribute to debates that expand the certainties about the horizon of humanity. In this document, various phenomena are taken to be critically rethought, from the importance of affection, love and politics to an analysis of the demands of the times that incline us to consider a new communism as possible. A French intellectual of 88 years old meets in these dialogues with a Chilean intelectual of 29 years old to try to build new ways of dialoguing with knowledge in our time. Dialogues built during the year 2024 and that seek to contribute to the social sciences and humanities of tomorrow.
