A philosophical reflection on the aesthetic and ethical stages in relation to the ancient tragic and the modern tragic, in Kierkegaard

The aim of this article is to contrast the ethical and aesthetic stage in relation to the category of choice, in order to interpret Sophocles’ Antigone and Kierkegaard’s adaptation of this tragedy. It should be noted that the ancient tragic has as a characteristic the genealogical insertion, that is, that in the unhappy end of Antigone resounds the oracle received by Oedipus and the modern tragic has an epochal determination where the individual is absolutized and therefore breaks the genealogical insertion, the way in which A. adapts Antigone is through the figure of the seducer and the sensual.
