Abstract

Armed conflict has a significant negative impact on the quality of education, which in turn contributes to its indefinite prolongation. The current academic literature on
this topic is scattered and fragmented, which makes a review that integrates these aspects and provides an overview along with its main subfields imperative. The
purpose of this research is to identify the main academic contributions on armed conflict and education by using the Tree of Science algorithm from a Scopus search. The results revealed three important areas. First, the influence of entrepreneurial education in conflict zones is addressed. Second, historical emergencies are discussed, and third, political inequities are analyzed. These findings can be used
by decision makers to foster projects that promote peace in communities affected by armed conflict through the promotion of education.
