Abstract

The article seeks to develop a narrative review of the elements of psychopathy that are relevant in light of the executive function of inhibitory control and its characteristic elements. A brief description and conceptualization of the variables (psychopathy and inhibitory control) is made highlighting the most important aspects of each one to then describe the relationship between both variables framed in the results of the reviewed research. A search was made in databases on experimental studies containing the variables Inhibitory control and Psychopathy. The relationship between psychopathy and inhibitory control is inconsistent in the included articles. It is found that the relationship between the variables is not constant and may depend on the aspects and characteristics addressed in each one.
