Abstract

This essay addresses the issue of research seedbeds as a meeting and learning space and the contribution of the seedbed: Academic Literacy of the Fundación Universitaria Católica del Norte, to the strengthening of reading and writing skills, and its importance in a university environment, the professional and civic life of its students. Specifically, it focuses on how its transversal purpose not only strengthens and affirms scientific competencies within the academic sphere, but also how these influence an environment, especially when its purpose is to strengthen and consolidate reading and writing competencies, which will serve to throughout life
