AN APPROXIMATION TO THE IDEA OF POSTMODERNITY WITHIN SYSTEMIC THERAPY

Abstract

This paper is the result of document revision in regard to the idea of postmodernity, and its relation to Systemic Family Therapy. It departs from document research papers, libraries and other information media. The document revision produced two main categories: Reason and Language, as well as a set of postmodern therapy approaches. The need to show heterogeneity within postmodernity has been made evident by denying modern meta-narratives, but at the same time, the interest not to abandon modernity’s objectivity and reason has also been acknowledged.
