Colombian history has been told from the pain of the victims who have suffered the loss of loved ones, as well as from their socio-cultural and historical identity, clinging to the idea of overcoming an incomplete and sordid peace. This is how it becomes necessary that the reality of so many marginalized communities silenced by violence, injustice and oppression be redefined and transformed from the community itself through liberating practices. This essay aims to reflect theoretically and critically on the historical reality of the community in Colombia, recognizing its power to transform those emerging problems that are still present. The psychology of liberation is assumed as a proposal that allows addressing community problems, strengthening and problematizing its reality, reconstructing its history, rescuing its identity and those elements that served in the past and that may serve in these times; and, finally, de-ideologizing both the daily experience to give it an original sense and psychology itself as a fundamental step for liberating practices.
