Copyright and Licensing

Moral Rights

Authors hold the moral rights to their works and must be recognized as such, in accordance with applicable law. Authors are recognized as the creators of the work, and the integrity of the work is protected.

Authors are morally and legally responsible for the content of their texts, as well as for respecting the copyrights of the works consulted and cited therein. Therefore, their views do not in any way reflect the opinions or positions of the committees, the editorial team, the reviewers, or Universidad Católica Luis Amigó.

Property Rights

Authors hold the property rights to their works, in accordance with applicable law. In line with open science practices, authors grant Universidad Católica Luis Amigó, free of charge and for an indefinite term, a non-exclusive and broad license to use the first edition of the published texts. This license includes authorization for reproduction, public communication, distribution, transformation, translation, arrangement, adaptation, the creation of summaries or excerpts, and derivative works, under the terms established in the corresponding license document.

Open Access

Authors agree to the open access model and the Creative Commons license adopted by the journal, which allows third parties to read, download, and use the material in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in said license.

Each article must identify the individual or legal entity that has endorsed and funded the project or work from which the published content is derived.

Articles published in the journal Perseitas are available in open access and are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). Thus, only the University, in accordance with the license granted to it by the authors, has the exclusive right to make translations and adaptations.

The license allows third parties to share and redistribute the articles in any medium or format, provided that the following conditions are met:

  • Attribution: appropriate credit must be given, a link to the license must be included, and any changes made must be indicated.
  • NonCommercial: the articles may not be used for commercial purposes.
  • NoDerivatives: derivative works or materials modified from the articles may not be distributed.
  • No additional restrictions: legal terms or technological measures that restrict the uses permitted by the license may not be imposed.

Open Access Policy – Diamond Route

The Revista Colombiana de Ciencias Sociales adopts the Diamond Open Access model; therefore, all of its content is immediately and freely available.

Published articles may be accessed, read, and downloaded free of charge, and the uses permitted under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) may be made in accordance with its terms and conditions, always giving appropriate credit to the authors and to the institution that edits and funds the journal.

Universidad Católica Luis Amigó, as the journal's publishing institution, does not charge authors article processing charges (APCs) or fees for submission, peer review, editing, or publication. Readers are likewise not charged for access to the published content.

The journal reaffirms its commitment to the democratization of knowledge, open science, and the dissemination of scientific research without economic barriers.
