Abstract

The present text proposes a reflection on the existing disjunction between love and capitalism, starting from the understanding of love from psychoanalysis and in contrast to the place of the subject in the capitalist discourse. On the one hand, surrender, patience, self-knowledge are required to achieve a loving relationship with another person; capitalism, on the other hand, proposes a relationship based on objects and not on subjects.
