La Experimentación en los Procesos Formativos en Matemática Discreta

La matemática discreta es esencial para los científicos computacionales y para los ingenieros, especialmente los de software; no sólo se trata de un curso obligatorio, sino que también desarrolla la capacidad de razonar y pensar de forma matemática y lógica. Un curso de matemáticas discretas se centra en la correctitud, la lógica y los algoritmos; y la mayoría de estudiantes encuentran dificultades para aprender sus conceptos y notaciones. En este trabajo se discute una reforma fundamental a la forma en que se imparten los cursos de matemáticas discretas: añadir la experimentación, con el objetivo de mejorar la calidad de los procesos formativos en esta área. Se presta especial atención al contenido de los experimentos y a la forma como se imparten. Al contrastar los procesos formativos en matemática discreta sin experimentos, es posible concluir que el método propuesto con experimentación puede integrar la teoría y el programa en uno solo, y mejorar la comprensión de las matemáticas discretas por parte de los estudiantesDownloads
