El antiguo testamento está repleto de "signos y prodigios", hechos milagrosos que al escéptico se le antojan imposibles. Pero se parecen enormemente a ciertos hechos científicos bien probados. Hechos como levitación, curaciones, profecías y aplicaciones técnicas, aparecen descritos en el nuevo testamento. Pero, ¿acaso las convenciones de los evangelistas contribuyeron a oscurecer los hechos? ¿Fueron éstos tan milagrosos como se explican? "Y al tercer día resucitó de entre los muertos", así describe el credo cristiano el milagro de la resurrección física de Cristo. Pero, ¿qué acontecimientos extraordinarios encierra este relato bíblico?
