Función Reguladora del Sistema Nervioso en la Pigmentación de la Carpa Dorada: un Experimento de Ingeniería Genética

La acción que el sistema nervioso ejerce sobre el conjunto de células cromatóforos de los peces, la establecieron numerosos investigadores apoyándose en experiencias de excitación y de seccionamiento de nervios, así como en ensayos de estimulación eléctrica y de mutilación de determinados centros y tractos nerviosos. Con todo, y no obstante la armonía que existe en el estudio de la fisiología cromática de los teleósteos, en lo que atañe al control que ejerce el sistema nervioso a las células pigmentarias, los resultados diametralmente opuestos, apuntados sobre la materia por diversos investigadores, ponen de manifiesto la conveniencia de realizar otros estudios al respecto. En este artículo se hace la descripción de un trabajo que forma parte de las experiencias que se realizan en nuestro laboratorio, con el objeto de determinar el papel que desempeñan diferentes factores en el sistema de pigmentación de la carpa dorada - Carassius auratus.Downloads
